This site represents a selection of the work of filmmaker JESSE GORDON.

JESSE was born in England and raised in Southern Spain by parents from Philadelphia.  He went to NYU and then onto Columbia for a Masters in Film, though he began writing, directing and producing professionally before he graduated.  He started his career at HBO and worked with them for more than 20 years, starting in marketing before moving onto content-creation, and more recently editing.  As a commercial producer-director has been responsible for over 40 promotion campaigns and over 50 hours of long-form content.  He was nominated for Emmy's for his retrospective of SIX FEET UNDER, and his film THE HISTORY OF CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM; and has won multiple Tellies, Promax awards, etc., in this area.  More recently, he has worked as a Creative Director at studios such as Fox Sports, Plastik and his own boutique production company, Lucky 8 Productions.  He has also made a name for himself as an editor of non-scripted TV and documentaries.  He has cut four films for visionary director Ondi Timoner, including THE NEW AMERICANS: GAMING A REVOLUTION (currently on Netflix) and ALL THE WALLS CAME DOWN (shortlisted for an Oscar in 2026).  He is a member of Motion Picture Editors Guild Local 700 and is represented by Rabih Gholam at Innovative Artists, Santa Monica.
